any weaknesses or potentially dangerous driving habits.
It may be taken in cars, commercial vehicles or on motor
cycles. Usually covering between 30 and 40 miles on

Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents ( RoSPA ) |
The RoSPA Advanced Driving Test is generally regarded as the most comprehensive and challenging test of its kind available to the general public, it usually takes about 60 to 75 minutes to complete, and drivers will be expected to conform to an exceptional standard of driving, usually giving a commentary whilst doing so. At the end of your driving test you will be asked questions relating to both your drive and questions on the Highway Code and Roadcraft the essential police drivers handbook. You will be assessed by a RoSPA examiner who will have a minimum qualification of a class one police advanced driving certificate, many of them are also police driving instructors.
This test is graded into three levels, RoSPA Bronze, Silver or Gold. With Gold of course being the highest. If you are ungraded i.e. you do not reach the required standard you re offered a free re - test at a later date. You will also recieve a full written report on your driving ability and certificate of your achievment. Because of the high level of driving expected of a RoSPA advanced driver, you are expected to retake the test every three years to maintain and improve in line with the current standards.
